Westlands U11s Secures Spot in Champions Cup Final!

On a suspenseful Saturday, April 27th, the young squad faced off against the formidable Ilchester team—a side they had previously struggled to defeat.
Despite the logistical challenges that morning, Manager Lee Davey caught a train in the early hours to reach the match just after Westlands had scored their opening goal. The excitement was palpable as Westlands quickly followed up with a second goal. However, the match's intensity soared when Ilchester equalised, bringing the score to a nail-biting 2-2.
With the stakes high, Westlands bolstered their defence, aiming to extend the match to penalties. In a dramatic twist, just as tactical substitutions were being considered to strengthen the attack, Westlands executed a flawless pass, culminating in a last-minute, game-winning goal!
Looking ahead, the anticipation builds for the final showdown against Avishayes Hawks on May 11th. Their last encounter ended in a draw, adding to the excitement as both teams are eager to clinch the trophy.
