Visiting SLCC’s Community Day
by Ben Grave - Wed 29 Jul 2026Earlier this week, Jon and Ben had the pleasure of visiting our client, the Society of Local Council Clerks (SLCC), at their Taunton office for their Community Day. It was a great opportunity to catch up with Rob, Kate and members of the SLCC team face-to-face, away from the usual day-to-day support tickets.
SLCC is the professional body for local council clerks and senior council employees in England and Wales, representing clerks in more than 5,000 local councils. They provide training, guidance and professional development to help their members deliver effective, well-governed local services for the communities they serve.
As SLCC’s IT partner, our role is to make sure their systems are secure, resilient and available, so their team can focus on supporting councils rather than worrying about technology. On this visit there were, thankfully, no IT issues to resolve – just time to listen, understand what’s working well and discuss how technology can continue to support their growth and member services in the months ahead.
We really value these in-person visits with clients like SLCC. They help us stay closely aligned with their goals, spot new opportunities to add value and ensure our support continues to evolve alongside the organisations we work with.
