The world of IT moves fast - really fast. We have created this space so we can share with you the most relevant news, reviews and information from around the IT and Mark One world.
We recently had the opportunity to participate in Yeovil College's inaugural FuturesFest. The event was designed to connect students with potential employers, career paths, and educational institutions. Mark One Consultants was proud to be part of this impactful occasion.
Yeovil College hosted a well-organised event, bringing together around forty exhibitors that included local businesses, universities, and other organisations attended by Yeovil College students.
Our primary goal at the event was to engage with students and provide advice on carving out a career in IT. The event served as an excellent platform to discuss the many opportunities and career paths within the industry.
Rowan, Jon and I had the chance to speak with many students curious about IT careers. Hearing their questions, ambitions, and perspectives was both insightful and rewarding.
The event also gave us an opportunity to connect with other local businesses and universities. Exhibitors included well-known names like Numatic, EDF, Milstead Langdon, as well as universities such as the University of Bath, University of Exeter, and University of Plymouth, among others.
FuturesFest underscored the critical role of early career guidance. Students were encouraged to engage with as many visitors as possible to explore jobs, qualifications, and apprenticeships. This proactive approach empowers them to take decisive steps toward their future careers. We are eager to see where these promising students will end up, and we're looking forward to participating in future events that continue to enrich our local community.
