Microsoft doubles down on AI Productivity and announces new hardware with an April release…
by Lyndon Doyle - Thu 28 Mar 2024On Thursday 21st March at 4pm Microsoft held its Surface Event announcing new devices and pushing and making sure we all know about the recent Microsoft CoPilot release within Microsoft 365 which is now on Windows.
There are two new devices available for pre-ordering in April, both look to use the latest Intel hardware with Ultra 5 and Ultra 7 Processors and then come with options for all the different flavours of Memory and Hard Drive space depending on what you need.
The Surface Pro 10 and Surface Laptop 6 will utilise an NPU, Neural Processing Unit, in order to make the device work smarter, allocating computing power towards the Programs and Apps you are using most at the time, manage battery life and improve overall performance.
Depending on your preference the Surface Pro 10 will;
• Have a 50% performance increase over the model it replaces
• Features an Anti-Reflective Display which is 33% brighter than before
• Has an “All-day” battery life
• Comes with a Surface Studio Camera which has an ultra-wide field of view and uses AI for focus and eye contact
The Surface Laptop 6 however it is more of the same with 13.5 or 15” versions.
Last but not least these two devices will have a dedicated CoPilot key on the keyboard.
